Allegra is an antihistamine. This medicine is developed to decrease allergic symptoms of hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis). Allegra may also decrease itchy feeling in patients with chronic itchy skin rashes.

Allegra should be taken orally. Swallow the tablet with water. Avoid drinking grapefruit, orange, or apple juice while you are treating with Allegra. These drinks may influence your therapy. Take your doses at regular intervals. Never exceed the dosage, prescribed for you by doctor. It may take a few days of therapy before you notice betterment.
In case of missing a dose of Allegra, take it as soon as you remember to do so. Nevertheless, if it's about time to take your next dose, skip the missed one and follow your regular schedule. Thus take the next dose when it's time for it. Never take a double dose at once.
Keep Allegra safe from moisture. Store this product at room temperature, in scope of 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C). Keep this product out of the reach of children. Keep safe from pets. Never use Allegra or any other medicines after the expiration date!
Make sure you inform your health care in case you are pregnant, have plans for pregnancy, or if you are breast-feeding.
Inform your doctor if you have a kidney disease, or if you experience an allergy to Allegra, terfenadine, any other preparations, dyes, foods, or preservatives.

Allegra should be used cautiously in children. Allegra may be prescribed for children over 6 years. Talk to your health care provider about the possibility to use this medicine in children.
Inform your health care professional about all other medicines you are taking, including non-prescription medicines, herbal products, and nutritional supplements. The Allegra therapy may be affected by caffeine, alcohol or illegal drugs usage.
Do not start or quit any treatment without consultation with your health care provider.
